Steve Struthers has a B.A. and an M.A. in clinical psychology from the University of Waterloo. He is a certified psychotherapist with more than 30 years experience and treats individuals, couples and families. Having worked on both sides of the border and in both primary care and mental health Steve has an excellent grasp of health care and the treatment of social and emotional issues. He has spent many years teaching and supervising resident physicians and managing and supervising mental health practitioners and other health care professionals and now brings his expertise to full time practice with Rural Roots.
Phyllis Enns is a Wellness Specialist with a B.A. (Psychology and Social Science) and a B.Sc.N. (R.N.) from McMaster University. She has extensive counselling experience in both medicine and mental health, with paediatric specialization in disabilities, (ADD, ADHD, & Autism). Phyllis has a keen interest in health coaching and is particularly effective with patients who have recently been diagnosed with a critical medical condition such as including cancer, fibromyalgia, Alzheimers with a balanced approach of medical and/or complimentary health. She is a certified on-line counsellor. Phyllis now brings her many years of international experience to our practice here at Rural Roots.
